Tranmere story
Liverpool-born midfielder Alan Navarro came through Liverpool’s academy and gained early Football League experience on loan at Crewe Alexandra. He joined Tranmere Rovers on loan in November 2001 before signing permanently in January 2002.
After leaving Prenton Park, Navarro had spells with Chester City, Macclesfield Town and Accrington Stanley. He then helped Milton Keynes Dons win the League Two title and Football League Trophy in 2007–08. Navarro joined Brighton & Hove Albion in 2009 and was part of the club’s League One title-winning squad in 2010–11, before completing his playing career at Swindon Town.
